Curated Iceland photography prints from a legendary Reykjavík shop — the perfect memory of your journey.
Fotografi opened in 2007 as Iceland's first dedicated photography print shop. We're located at Skólavörðustígur 22, one of Reykjavík's most iconic streets, and have become a cultural landmark in their own right. Our walls are lined with over 300 vintage film cameras — a living museum that reflects our deep connection to the craft of photography and the stories Iceland's landscapes tell.
Every print in our collection is carefully curated to capture the authentic Iceland you experienced: the light, the drama, the quiet moments. We don't stock generic tourist imagery. Instead, we work with photographers who understand this country's soul.
Yes. We're located at Skólavörðustígur 22, Reykjavík, Iceland — a walking distance from the city center. Our store is open year-round, and we welcome visitors to browse our collection, explore our vintage camera displays, and experience the atmosphere we've built over nearly two decades. We often have vinyl records spinning on our phonograph, adding to the experience.
If you're planning a visit, we recommend checking our current opening hours before you come, as seasonal variations apply.
Yes, Fotografi operates throughout the year. Iceland's tourism seasons vary, and so do our hours — we're busier during summer months and adjust accordingly in winter. We recommend contacting us or checking our website for current opening times before your visit.
We offer a range of standard print sizes to suit different spaces and budgets. Our most popular formats are A3, A2, and larger custom dimensions. Each size is available on our premium paper stock, ensuring the image quality remains exceptional whether you're framing a small intimate print or a statement piece for your wall.
If you don't see your ideal size listed, we can discuss custom options — contact us to reserve a consultation.
Absolutely. We understand that not every home or space fits standard dimensions. Custom sizes are available, and we're happy to work with you to create a print that fits your vision. Reach out with your specifications, and we'll provide details on pricing and production time.
Our prints are produced on archival-grade fine art paper using professional-quality printing methods. This means your image won't fade, yellow, or degrade over decades — it's built to last as long as your memories of Iceland.
We use paper stocks that bring out the depth and color accuracy of each photograph. Whether it's the deep blues of a glacial lake or the golden hour light across black sand beaches, the paper enhances what the photographer captured.
We primarily offer unframed prints, which gives you flexibility in how you display them. However, we can recommend local framers in Reykjavík if you'd like professional framing while you're in the city, or we can advise on framing options for international customers. Our prints are ready to frame, and we're happy to suggest frame styles that complement Iceland's aesthetic.
Your prints are carefully packaged to arrive in perfect condition. We use protective tube packaging and reinforced materials to ensure no creasing, bending, or damage during transit — no matter where in the world you are. Every international shipment is tracked and insured.
When your order arrives, it will feel like a piece of Iceland has been delivered directly to your door.
We offer both standard and express shipping options:
All prints ship directly from our Reykjavík location, giving your order authentic provenance. Once dispatched, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow your package's journey.
Yes. If you're visiting Reykjavík, you can reserve a print and pick it up at our store on Skólavörðustígur 22. This eliminates shipping time and gives you the chance to see your print in person before taking it home.
